Description: This two-day intensive workshop is designed to give tattoo artists clear, technical tools for improving pigment control, color blending, and overall application quality. Led by internationally renowned artist Andrés Acosta, the program combines presentations, live demonstrations, and practical exercises to help artists of any level refine their craft.
You’ll learn how to:
Achieve smooth pigment transitions and clean blends
Layer color to create depth and fully saturated results
Control hand movements for precision and consistency
Build shapes and structures with proper pigment placement
Apply techniques directly to tattooing realistic forms
With a small group format capped at 6 attendees, you’ll receive personal guidance and feedback while developing techniques you can immediately apply in your own work.
Schedule
Day 1 – Foundations of Blending
10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Meet & greet, introductions, studio orientation
10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Presentation & Q&A (color theory, pigment behavior, hand movement control)
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch break
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Live blending demonstration by Andrés
2:00 PM – 7:00/♾️ PM: Guided blending exercises on provided fake skin
Day 2 – Tattooing Shapes with Saturation
10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Morning briefing & technique review
10:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Live tattoo demonstration (building shapes with full pigment saturation)
12:30 PM – 1:30 PM: Lunch break
1:30 PM – 7:00/♾️ PM: Hands-on tattooing exercises (practicing shapes, transitions, and application under supervision)
9:00 PM: Afterparty
